A Poem for Dad and Me
This is a poem which was written for me by a very close friend shortly before my dad passed away. I felt the need to share it with all the wonderful father- son/daughter relationships on this special day. Happy Father’s Day to you all…
by Tiffany Robinson
He cradled you, his newborn son…
Raised and nurtured, a job well done…
A father’s love, shines through your soul…
Time ages all and takes its toll…
God blessed you, for those many years…
Bonding, laughing, and sharing tears…
Memories abound, a love so strong…
Time cut short, it seems so wrong…
God has his plan, you must believe…
Be strong my friend, when it’s time to grieve…
You are the reflection of your father’s pride…
How proud he is when you are by his side…
A great man of strength, you call Dad…
Pride and dignity we know he had…
Courage and faith, I pray for you…
As now you cradle and hold him to…
A heavenly son, with all you do…
You see my friend, he lives in you…
