We will all experience at one time or another a moment of heartache, tragedy, loss of a loved one, or a health related issue which may eventually lead to our demise. Unfortunately, there are many of us who will experience all of the above throughout our life. One of the difficult challenges we face during these moments is our ability to cope in a way which gives us strength to carry on. For many of us it’s our faith where we’ll turn to help provide comfort regardless of our understanding of the particular crisis. I think it’s fair to say that the majority of people will turn to their faith with greater necessity during difficult times regardless of how strong their belief may actually be. Our willingness to truly “trust in what we believe” will ultimately pave the way for how we manage and respond through difficult times. I’ve always said that it’s one thing to be a believer and have faith, but when times are tough and the outcome is unknown, do you truly trust in what you believe? No matter the situation or my lack of control within it, could I honestly say that I submit to trust in HIM regardless of the outcome? I have learned over time that I can only control certain things in my life. But the commitment to “trust in what I believe” will help provide the necessary peace to remain strong for those around me.
